Oct 17, 2005 · I have a pretty old baxi conventional boiler. The pilot is alight, but it doesn't fire up when the heating and/or hot water are switched on. I don't think there's a problem with the timer controls or thermostats as I can hear the pump running when it's supposed to be on, and the 3 ways valves move when turning the heating and hot water on and off, but the boiler won't fire into life.
